If you are interested in being a part of the SBE Student Chapter Chalmers board of 2016/2017, there are a few things you need to do:
• Attend our aspiration events (optional). See schedule further below.
• Write an application, see below how.
• Send in your application to firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline Friday 22nd April, 23:59.
• Attend our Annual Meeting.
Your application should include answers to these questions:
• Year of Enrollment:
• Describe yourself in a few sentences.
• Why are you interested in SBE?
• What can you bring to SBE?
• Are you applying for a specific position? If yes, which?
During April we will have our aspiring time for the board of SBE Student Chapter Chalmers. We are a Student Union Society, which means that anyone can join us and anyone can apply for the positions in the board. No specific knowledge is needed, just an interest for biological engineering.
13/4 - Pub Quiz at J.A. Pripps
A perfect chance to ask us any possibly question you might have. Ask us about our posts, what is the best thing with SBE, how many selfies we take a week or what's our favorite cake. Or anything else! Just hang with us!
Attend the event here to get updates:
18/4 - Lunch Meeting
Join us for a lunch meeting to see how we work and how we make decisions. Prepare for some really long (and sometimes heated) discussions and a lot of laughs.
Attend the event here to get updates:
21/4 - Academic Open Mic Night
Help us to arrange our Academic Open Mic Night. We'll be setting the sound and lights, making the mingle food and pouring the soft drinks into glasses, and more! We'll teach you everything we know!
Attend the event here:
(Observe that the event on Facebook is only for the Academic Open Mic Night, not for the preparations. We'll talk more about how you can help us arranging during our other aspiring events and more information will be on the website.)
27/4 - Annual Meeting (Members only)
We'll be talking about the year that has passed and also selecting our new board for 2016/2017 - exciting! The meeting is only for SBE Student Chapter Chalmers members (so if you're not a member, you can become one for free here: http://www.sbechalmers.se/membership-join-11799351). An official notice to attend the meeting will be sent out further on.
See you at the Pub Quiz!
Did you see us on Student Union Day the 18th of February? We'd stocked up with tons of candy and prepared our awesome, but a little tricky, Bacteria Quiz.
And we can happily announce that we now have 12 new members in our Student Chapter, welcome everyone!
"How can we make crops survive without water?" is the question Jill Farrant is answering during her Ted Talk from 2015. Jill Farrant is a molecular biologist studying the phenomenon of resurrection plants, which might be one of the solutions to the future food problem.
